Hiking trails, cycling tours and mountain bike trails on your doorstep (all ability levels catered for). Local specialities, bakery, butcher shop, cheese shop. As for restaurants, you have the “, hren” – our traditional inn. In the village, there is an adventure restaurant called Jagdhütte/Geisstadel (hunting lodge/goat barn) with a beer garden and a playground (5-10 minutes on foot). 5 lakes where you can swim. 4 big adventure pools, a large choice of mountain railways/cable cars. This is an ideal starting point for excursions to visit places like the Castle Neuschwanstein and the Lake Constance area.

Description of the area:

Our holiday country house is situated on the south westerly outskirts of Kranzegg, where the hilly scenery turns into the Allgäuer Alps. You will be living in a farming country area with mountain panorama, but still centrally enough to be able to use and visit all there is on offer for your pleasure (leisure and sport, nature and cultural sights). Hiking, cycling and mountain biking trails will take you to the Rottachberg (the Rottach mountain), to the Rottachsee (lake Rottach), to the hiking region of “ Grosser Wald” (big forest) with its forest playground or to one of the many Alp huts on the Grünten (the local mountain with its stunning view from the Zugspitze to the Säntis in Switzerland) and a family ski region that is not that small after all with its 14 ski lifts… and it is really pretty. Winter holidays, great for families … and your budget. You are perfectly situated to enjoy a large programme of excursions. Munich and the Zugspitze is only 1 hour away and so is Lake Constance. Oberstdorf, Nebelhorn, Breitachklamm can be reached in only 20 minutes.
