In Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, the Bavarian Forest is definitely worth a trip. Visit us on the Schmöllerhof in Grund.

Comfortably furnished apartments and double rooms for the young and the old offer rest and relaxation in a family environment. Our spacious apartments and double rooms are all equipped with satellite TV and telephone. 

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. A generous breakfast in our sunny winter garden can also be booked by those of our guests who are renting our apartment. For those who prefer making their own breakfast, there is a bread roll delivery service, except on Sundays and public holidays.

In our beautiful outdoor pool you can spend your sunny days having great fun and relaxing. The sun lawn by the pool and the large terrace are ideal to linger after your swim. 

On our farm we have chickens, cats, rabbits, guinea-pigs and horses (free horse riding for our guests). If you want to bring your own horse because you cannot be without, you can of course do so. There is stable space available. Just imagine, you will be able to explore the surroundings on your own horse! 

In the evening, you can taste your freshly caught trout from our own fish farm, either grilled on our big barbecue or freshly smoked in the oven. 

In the immediate vicinity of our farm there are many recreational facilities. A forest climbing park and a wonderfully situated water fun park in the town of Waldkirchen with a giant water slide and a saltwater pool are only 4 km away. 

You have a walking trail and a bike path right on your doorstep. If you do not have a bike, we can provide one for you to explore the beauty of nature the Bavarian forest offers. 

Our house is also an ideal starting point for golfers. An 18-hole and a 9-hole course are only about 3 km away. Also in Winter, there are quite a number of recreational activities on offer. Cross-country skiing, skiing, toboggan riding and ice skating, everything within 4 km. And after a nice winter outing, our sauna is there for you to relax and to warm you up again.

Description of the area:

The farmhouse Schmöller is situated right by the Adalbert Stifter bike trail. If you ride a bike, you can enjoy a special nature treat riding through the typical Bavarian hills with mountain forests, creeks, meadow slopes and quaint rock formations, this in addition to the physical exercise. The bike path is wide with well-kept surfaces. 


Be it alone, with the family or in a group, let the silence of nature, the healthy forest air and the rushing of the Mirasat creek inspire you - far away from the bustle of the traffic. Riding through the original landscape, you can relax on the benches along the way. On this holiday farmhouse with its comfortably furnished apartments, we can lend you bicycles and after your bike tour, you can relax in our pool or in the sauna, the latter being even more fun in the Winter months when the bike trail is transformed into a cross-country ski trail.
