Modernised 3-room holiday apartment (lots of wood… ceilings, furniture) in renovated two storey house, ideal for 2-4 persons. +2 additional beds, washing machine, bicycle and ski cellar, flat screen Sat-TV (screen of 80cm diagonally), Video-DVD-player, MP3CD radio, bicycle and ski cellar with free children’ skis for normal winter boots. Wooden toboggan, electrical shoe dryer (one pair of walking boots is thus all you need to take, whatever the weather!) Seating corner outdoors, charcoal grill (charcoal free of charge), oversize bed covers, high chair, toys, board games.


No-smoking apartment, but you can smoke on the balcony.

Family friendly ski and toboggan runs in Carlsfeld (New: Ski-Fun-Park), and more of them in Wildenthal, Eibenstock, Johanngeorgenstadt and
Oberwiesenthal / extended cross country trails / in all villages you can rent
skis, snowboards and toboggans.

Museums and lots more:
Mountain stage, all-weather Bobsled run, indoor mini golf, embroidery workshop in Eibenstock (10 km) charcoal burning at the Sosa dam (18 km), space museum.

For hikes across the open green borders to Czech Republic, please bring your children’ s ID and your passports. We have never needed to show them yet but better play it safe.

In that case, you can go to the Finnish Maa-Sauna next door, or to the Oriental Steam Bath, or to an Indian Stone sweat bath, or take part in a Karelian Vasta ritual and a herb bath in the Bastupool. There is, of course, also a beer bath, an open fire and a Gastronomy sector. Please make a reservation if you want to take part in rituals or have massages.

How to find us:

From the A72 (Hof-Chemnitz), take exit Hartenstein. Follow the well built road to Aue, from where you follow the signposts direction Klingenthal. At the end of the village, you find the signpost Eibenstock for the first time. In Eibenstock direction
Johanngeorgenstadt and Carlsfeld to Wildenthal. In Wildenthal turn right to
Carlsfeld. Before the turn off to Carlsfeld straight on to Weitersglashütte.

500 m after the start of the village, you can see a house with a sign of two meters: “ Ferienwohnung Wiegand”. The holiday apartment will be ready for you as from 13h00 on the day of your arrival. On the day of departure, it will have to be vacated by 10h00. If you have any special wishes, please let us know. We shall do our best to comply. You can get the routing from the Internet (MAP24) for your directions to Weitersglashütte.
