This traditional country cottage is very well equipped: it is composed of a bedroom, lodging up to two persons, a bathroom, a kitchen and a cosy living room with a fireplace.

This holiday house is perfect for country lovers, walkers and botanist. Follow the “Levadas” or waterscourses, enjoy the landscape and learn and feel the interesting set of cultural and natural aspects that have fashioned Camacha.

In this property you will also find other 8 holiday cottages that accommodate 3, 4 and 6 persons and that are true jewels of rural tourism.

These holiday cottages, which were, in their early years, supporting cottages for the local agriculture, and whose construction goes back to two hundred years ago, were, in the late nineties, put to use for tourist exploration, offering its guests the genuine experience of being in the midst of country nature.

This holiday house is located in the luscious green parish of Camacha.

Camacha is a beautiful small village a few kilometres in the hills east of Funchal. It is known world wide for its wicker basket industry and colourful folklore traditions.

It is also in Camacha where football was played for the first time in Portugal in 1875.

Close to Casas Valleparaízo, you find a supermarket in walking distance, a shopping center, some restaurants and much more.

Also in this parish, there are two magnificent golf courses, specifically Palheiro Golf (2 km from Casas Valleparaízo) and the Golf Club of Santo da Serra (8 km from Casas Valleparaízo).

How to find us:

Follow the only route out of the airport terminal, and the signpost pointing to Funchal, Câmara de Lobos / Ribeira Brava.
You will drive pass a GALP Petrol Station on your right (4km).
Turn right at the signpost to Assomada / Porto Novo, and then left up (6km).
Just before Assomada Church on your right, turn right (There is a signpost to Camacha).
Follow a steep winding road always uphill to Camacha.
Finally, you are at a crossroad with a GALP Petrol Station on your right and CAMACHA SHOPPING on your left (14km).
Turn to your left as if you were going to Funchal.
Drive another 500 metres.
There is a big construction by the road near the entrance.
Pass a grey wall on your right.
Look on your right for two signs in-between the trees with golden letters. One says MOUNTAIN LODGES and the other CASAS VALLEPARAÍZO.
Turn into a small cobbled road, with gardens on both sides. Drive until you find the main house.
